ECIU is an Acronym for the European Consortium of Innovative Universities. A partnership established in 1997 and registered as a Foundation under Dutch law with 11 European members and 3 associate partners (from Mexico, Australia and Russia).
The total number of students and staff within the Consortium is 370.000 and 50.000 respectively. The annual budget totals approximately € 2.5 billion.
Student exchange and internationalising the student experience is one of the ECIU''s top priorities, and the ECIU welcomes student views on the consortium and its activities.In an increasingly competitive labour market, and with the increased internationalisation of higher education as such, the ECIU acknowledges the importance of providing students with opportunities for going abroad.
